Organized by Silvana Kortab and her team in Los Angeles, Lebanon’s Revolution Martyrs were honored Saturday night in a candle light vigil held at the American Druze Society (ADS) Cultural Center. Although the vigil was held at a Druze religious building, all Lebanese were invited to participate.
Alaa Abou Fakher, Zakaria Omar and Hussein Al Attar are the heroes of The Lebanese Revolution that gave their lives for us to have a better future. Their memory must live on through our actions.
Candles were provided by the ADS and a large Lebanese flag was signed with messages of love by attendees. Over 200 people were in attendance and Los Angeles continues to support Lebanon’s Revolution in a big way.
Multiple fundraisers have gone up on Facebook and GoFundme to raise money for Alaa’s family, with over 87 Thousand Dollars raised so far.
RIP to Lebanon’s heroes and martyrs Alaa Abou Fakher, Zakaria Omar and Hussein Al Attar.
