The social media platform that, The United States 45th President Donald J. Trump, has been using like a 10-year-old troll is standing up to his atrocities. Twitter staff came together, 1,000 of them, and raised $1.59 Million which would be donated to The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) which has been waging the legal battle against The President’s Muslim Ban.

The ACLU is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, legal and advocacy organization devoted to protecting the basic civil liberties of everyone in America. Over this past weekend alone, they raised over $24 Million. Tech executives and celebrities rallied their followers on Twitter and encouraged them to donate while they matched donations up to hundreds of thousands of dollars. Lebanese American tech entrepreneur Tony Fadell, one of the fathers of the iPod, rallied his Twitter followers and together they raised over $110 thousand.
Update 3: in 10 hours – 413 donations = $110,698
